Where/How was Cornhole Invented

Cornhole is becoming more and more popular as a game in the United States. The game is safe, family friendly, and easily transported. As the popularity of the game grows many people wonder where / how was Cornhole invented.

There are several different opinions for the place that cornhole was invented. Some people claim that Cornhole was first invented in Germany during the 1500s. Others, though, believe that Cincinnati, Ohio was the birthplace of the cornhole game. This belief is probably born from the fact that the game of Cornhole is probably most popular in Cincinnati. Who is right isn?t known but what is known is that the game began to take hold over 100 years ago in Kentucky and Ohio.

So the next thing to consider is how was Cornhole invented. While it is really not known how the game was actually invented, it is believed that people many centuries ago played a similar game where they through threw stones and tried to get them into holes. There are, of course, definite similarities, but the date that the game went from stones to corn bags is not actually know.

The where and how of cornhole invention really cannot be answered with any kind of certainty. Most people, though, think that the game came from another game where players tried to get stones into holes. In addition, a lot of people think the game started in Cincinnati, Ohio relatively recently, while others think it originated 500 years ago in Germany.
